A substantial number of those arrested in connection with the Capitol Hill riot on January 6 were revealed to have not voted for Trump, some are even registered Democrats, according to records obtained by CNN.
“Many involved in the insurrection professed to be motivated by patriotism, falsely declaring that Trump was the rightful winner of the election [but he was the winner until the “pause and dump”!]. Yet at least eight of the people who are now facing criminal charges for their involvement in the events at the Capitol did not vote in the November 2020 presidential election, according to an analysis of voting records from the states where protestors were arrested,” the CNN report reads.
Of the more than 80 who have been arrested thus far, “most voted in the presidential election, and while many were registered Republicans, a handful were registered as Democrats in those jurisdictions that provided party information,” the report further states.
