Notice how CINO Joe refers to himself as a “good Catholic”? None of the Saints boast about themselves as being “good” or “holy”. They speak about humility, conversion, penance, perfect contrition, reparation and mortification and about being in total union with the words of Saint John the Baptist in John 3:30, “He must increase, but I must decrease” and with Our Lord and Savior’s words in Matthew 23:12, “Whosoever shall exalt himself shall be humbled: and he that shall humble himself shall be exalted.”
