Historic West Virginia Catholic church burned to ground by arsonist, police say

Excerpt:

The fire department is asking anyone with relevant information to contact West Virginia State Police Trooper D. Daniels at (304) 256-6700. Other points of contact are the West Virginia State Fire Marshal’s Arson Hotline at 1 (800) 233-3473, Crime Stoppers of Raleigh County at 304-255-STOP, orwww.crimestopperswv.com.”

Attacks against Catholic churches, crisis pregnancy centers (e.g., https://www.ncregister.com/cna/fbi-investigates-suspected-arson-attack-on-colorado-pregnancy-center) and the offices of Pro-Life organizations are on the increase. The pro-abortionists falsely accuse Pro-Lifers of only being “pro-birth” and not caring about adoption and postpartum care or early childhood care but that is egregiously false as I have proved in a post on this blog that listed several organizations that provide care and support for pregnant women and their baby(ies) such as Gabriel’s Call of the Diocese of Providence, but while the pro-abortionists falsely accuse Pro-Lifers of not having resources to help pregnant women or women after they give birth they attack the very places Pro-Lifers either head or support that provide these supports including the crisis pregnancy centers! The hypocrisies and contradictions of these pro-abortionists is utterly moronic!

The rhetoric by the Left, including rhetoric among Democrat politicians, that motivates violence against Catholic Churches and Pro-Life organizations and the lack of loud and clear condemnation of these violent acts among Democrats, especially the silence by the fallen-away Catholic Joe Biden, surely gives fuel to the rhetoric and encouragement to those who are committed to rage against anyone and anything that is Pro-Life. Their commitment involves much violence, injury and possibly death. They have zero credibility. Their actions show they have really lost the culture war.

AOC Lies About Abortion, Again

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has spread a false claim by stating that the reversal of Roe will “kill” women. Is she not aware of the many women who have been injured or killed from legal abortion since the abominable Roe v. Wade decision by the Supreme Court in 1973?

For example:

Planned Parenthood refers to its abortion clinics as “health centers.” But they are not health centers, because they do not have to meet the same medical, safety or sanitation standards as other outpatient surgical clinics. Dental offices are more regulated than abortion clinics.

Although she was impregnated at age 17 by a 24 year-old man, Planned Parenthood did not explore the possibility of statutory rape. Holly’s parents didn’t know until it was too late.3

————-

1. How many women really died from illegal abortion prior to Roe v. Wade?

Excerpt:

Industry insider Bernard Nathanson admitted that those in his camp fabricated large numbers of women who died from illegal terminations prior to the Roe v. Wade Supreme Court decision. He should know, as he was an early abortionist who worked to decriminalize such laws in the nation by hijacking the women’s movement of his day with the help of Larry Lader, a Sanger biographer. Together, the two men and a few others founded the largest abortion lobby organization at that time, NARAL (as it was known then, the National Association for the Repeal of Abortion Laws).

2. Will overturning Roe lead to more pregnancy-related deaths? Statistics say no.

Excerpt:

COUNTRIES THAT LEGALIZED ABORTION AND SAW THE MMR WORSEN
United States: In 1971 and 1972, before Roe, the MMR in the U.S. was 18.8 per 100,000 live births.1 Since then, the MMR has gone up, not down. In 2020, the MMR was 23.8. The MMR in the U.S. without legal abortion was lower than the rate with legal abortion. There are more pregnancy-related deaths today than before Roe. While legalizing abortion may or may not be the cause of the rising MMR (deaths from abortion are included in the numbers), it clearly did nothing to lower it.

3. Planned Parenthood’s Lie about Maternal Deaths Makes the Post’s Pinocchios of the Year

Excerpt:

But as Kessler demonstrates, the country before Roe was hardly suffering from a maternal-mortality crisis related to abortion procedures. This myth is one of the various ways that supporters of unlimited abortion keep uninformed observers in the dark about what would really happen if Roe were overturned and voters once again had some control over our abortion policy.

4. Planned Parenthood debunked: No, thousands of women didn’t die yearly from abortion before Roe

Excerpt:

The claim that thousands of women died before Roe was invented in the years leading up to the 1973 Roe v. Wade Supreme Court decision, when pro-abortion men, set on manipulating the public, began the push for decriminalizing abortion. They were the founders of NARAL — Larry Lader, an autobiographer of Planned Parenthood founder Margaret Sanger, and former abortionist Bernard Nathanson — along with NOW president Betty Friedan. Nathanson later renounced his pro-abortion stance and worked to expose the lies he and his colleagues told, later revealing how they completely fabricated the numbers in an attempt to sway public opinion at a time when society and especially women opposed unfettered legalization.

5. The Big Lie: Thousand of Illegal Abortion Deaths

Excerpts:

And pro-abortion propagandist Marian Faux confirms the lie in her recent book Roe v. Wade; "An image of tens of thousands of women being maimed or killed each year by illegal abortion was so persuasive a piece of propaganda that the [pro-abortion] movement could be forgiven its failure to double-check the facts."[2]

Malcolm Potts, one of the original international activists who helped spread abortion throughout the world, claimed that "Those who want the [abortion] law to be liberalized will stress the hazards of illegal abortion and claim that hundreds, or thousands, of women die unnecessarily each year when the actual number is far lower."[3]

6. Democrat touts fake stats on abortion deaths while grilling Supreme Court nominee

Excerpt:

Conservative and pro-life outlets naturally pounced on Feinstein’s misinformation, but so did a few news organizations normally friendlier to the abortion lobby. The Associated Press wrote that the California Democrat “vastly overstated” the actual number, while USA Today’s William Cummings wrote that she “made a major error in her citation.”

7. Abortion v. Childbirth – Which is Safer?

Excerpts:

Let’s look at hepatitis as a good example of a surgical complication of abortion. Here is a woman who had an induced abortion. As a result, she had gross hemorrhage and needed blood transfusions. She recovered, but later developed hepatitis from the blood transfusion. In her case, she ultimately died of hepatitis. This was a direct result of the induced abortion; however, abortion was not reported as the cause of death.

The significant increase in breast cancer among women who have had abortions is well known. With a higher rate of Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) infections, they also have a higher risk of cervical cancer. Since smoking is sharply increased among post-abortion women, one could anticipate a possible greater incident of lung cancer.

And finally, one cannot overlook the fact that 10 percent of women suffer immediate complications. These include infection, hemorrhage, cervical injury, blood clots, anesthesia complications, chronic abdominal pain, Rh sensitization, gastro-intestinal disturbances, vomiting, fever and occasionally, endotoxic shock.

8. Abortion Is Not Safer Than Giving Birth

Excerpt:

Abortionists have allegedly discouraged women from being truthful about their abortion complications. A former Planned Parenthood employee’s “whistleblower” lawsuit explains that chemical abortion patients who later experienced significant bleeding were told “to go to an emergency room and report that they were experiencing a spontaneous miscarriage.”

9. Study Proves Abortion is More Dangerous Than Childbirth

Excerpt:

During the first six months after an early abortion (12 weeks or less), a woman has double the risk of death compared to giving birth.
During the first year following a late abortion (after 12 weeks) a woman has over three times the risk of death compared to giving birth.

10. ‘Bad science’: Why you should question the lone study claiming abortion is 14x safer than childbirth

Excerpts:

A wealth of media outlets have cited a 2012 pro-abortion study which claims that abortion is up to 14 times safer than childbirth. Yet, as Dr. John Ferrer pointed out in his article for the Equal Rights Institute, no other study has ever been able to confirm this finding, and the 2012 study is highly unreliable.

According to Ferrer, the RG study relies on abortion numbers from the Center for Disease Control (CDC) and the pro-abortion Guttmacher Institute, but those numbers do not include statistics from Maryland, Washington D.C., or New Hampshire. They also lack information from two of the areas with high abortion numbers and nearly no pro-life laws: California and New York City. None of these locations have reported abortion statistics to the CDC in years, but they do report all childbirths and related maternal deaths. The reporting of childbirths and related deaths is mandatory, but the reporting of abortions and abortion-related deaths is not. In addition, not all states that do report their statistics require abortion facilities to report all of their information. There is no federal law requiring the reporting of abortions or abortion complications.

11. New Research Shows Abortion Poses Higher Risk of Death than Giving Birth

Excerpt:

In contrast with a 2012 study conducted by researchers from Gynuity Health Projects and the University of North Carolina – which asserts that women are 14 times more likely to die delivering a live baby than from complications of an abortion, this study, which links up all relevant reproductive health data, found that death rates associated with birth were lower than those associated with early-term abortion, late-term abortion, and miscarriage in every year over a 10-year period.  The data demonstrates that an abortion prior to 12 weeks is associated with 80% higher risk of death within the first year after the procedure and a 40% higher risk of death over 10 years.

13. The Link Between Abortion & Breast Cancer

Excerpt:

What is the cause of this sudden surge in the breast cancer rate? Recent, reputable, and repeated medical research indicates that it may be abortion. Abortion of a first pregnancy interrupts the growth and changes which enable the breast to produce milk, leaving the breast at a heightened risk of cancer. This risk, multiplied by the millions of induced abortions around the world, can account for the mysterious jump in the breast cancer rate.

14. Abortion and Maternal Bonding

Excerpts:

Further research has led me to conclude that it is not the amount of oxytocin that is significant, but rather where in the brain it is utilized. In rats, the presence of adrenal steroids released in response to fear and anxiety makes oxytocin bind to its receptors (go to work) more readily, but mainly in the amygdala. If the anterior cingulate is not utilizing the oxytocin due to PTSD, the amygdala apparently is. Oxytocin is an endorphin, which has the same qualities in the brain as do opiates.

We have all heard of “adrenalin junkies," but what they may actually be addicted to is not adrenalin, but the oxytocin and other neuropeptides that are released simultaneously. This opiod action on the amygdala also explains the roots of trauma reenactment, which can then be seen as unconscious self-rewarding behavior that is as difficult to control as opiate addiction….

How does any of this relate to abortion?

According to Dr. Philip Ney, a clinical professor at the University of British Columbia, http://
..statistically speaking women who have had abortions are less likely to bond to their children."

In 2002 the Journal of Child Psychology and Psychiatry reported that "the children of women who have had abortions have less supportive home environments and more behavioral problems than the children of women without a history of abortion. This finding supports the view that abortion may negatively affect bonding with subsequent children, disturb mothering skills, and otherwise impact a woman's psychological stability."

The Elliott Institute reports further that "abortion is linked with increased violent behavior, alcohol and drug abuse, replacement pregnancies, depression, and poor maternal bonding with later children. These factors are closely associated with child abuse and would appear to confirm a link between unresolved post-abortion trauma and subsequent child abuse."

Traumatized women cannot produce enough oxytocin during labor to develop a proper maternal bond, and the results range along the same continuum as do post-traumatic stress symptoms themselves…. Even if we didn't now understand the physiology behind the degradation of maternal bonding between aborted mothers and their children, we could see this with common sense. As she prepares for, thinks about, and dreams of the wanted and convenient child, the aborted mother reaches into the box for loving, maternal emotions and finds instead fear, anxiety, panic, anger, and all of the negative sensations surrounding the aborted child. Thanks to the trauma of unwanted pregnancy, and the trauma of abortion, these memories have been thoughtfully stored by the amygdala without her conscious will or awareness, associated to all things "Baby."

Excerpt:

“While rightly insisting that abortion is evil, the Catholic Church also recognizes the particular needs that many women encounter when they are pregnant. For several years already, the Diocese of Providence has responded to this need with important programs such as St. Gabriel’s Call that provides personal and material assistance to pregnant women, new moms, and their infant children; and also the Cabrini Fund that offers financial scholarships to assist parents with child care expenses. These programs have supported women and children, Catholic and non-Catholic alike, for many years.”

Update: Look at the latest notice on the Supreme Court page…

The culture of death fanatics are all about threatening the lives of the Supreme Court justices (who voted against Roe) and their families. They are violent terrorists committed to attacking the Church and all Pro-Life organizations because Satan is behind their rage. They are in dire need of the peace of Christ if only they would repent and fill their souls with the grace of God.

Three People Responsible For The Legalization Of Abortion In 1973 All Became Pro-Life

Sandra Cano, Dr. Bernard Nathanson, and Norma McCorvey-The “Doe” of Doe v. Bolton, a co-founder of NARAL who coined the phrase “pro-choice”, and the “Roe” of Roe v. Wade became pro-life.

𝐃𝐑. 𝐁𝐄𝐑𝐍𝐀𝐑𝐃 𝐍𝐀𝐓𝐇𝐀𝐍𝐒𝐎𝐍

Dr. Bernard Nathanson was one of the original founders of the National Abortion and Reproductive Rights Action League (NARAL) in 1969. NARAL is the pro-abortion group currently spending $40 million to block all pro-life judges and legislation. He presided over 60,000 abortions and was one of the pioneering forces in the legalization of abortion on demand in the early 1970s. Nathanson invented many of the political slogans that the pro-abortion movement is still using, such as “pro-choice,” “reproductive rights,” “freedom of choice,” and “a woman’s right to choose.” Through the technology of ultrasound, Nathanson saw for the first time the reality of what actually happens to the unborn child during an abortion and came to understand and support the pro-life position.

𝗤𝘂𝗼𝘁𝗲𝘀 𝗯𝘆 𝗗𝗿. 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗼𝗻

• “The truth never emerged in any way, shape, or form from NARAL.”

• “One of the major functions of NARAL and its executive board was the dissemination of false statistics regarding illegal abortion and deaths from abortion.”

• “The figures that we were releasing to the press were largely dead-designed to influence American public opinion. They had very little link or nexus to reality at all.”

• “The statistics that we gave to the American public about illegal abortions annually; the statistics we fabricated regarding the number of women dying from illegal abortions annually; all of these matters were pure fabrication and still persist to this very day.”

• “We spoke of 5,000 to 10,000 deaths a year. I confess that I knew the figures were totally false. It was a useful figure, widely accepted, so why go out of our way to correct it with honest statistics?”

• “We in NARAL were in the business of coining slogans principally for the media . . . we scattered catchy slogans for them . . . to use . . . in their stories. Slogans like “reproductive rights,” “freedom of choice,” “pro-choice.” For many years we’ve known them to be hollow and meaningless. They’re just catchy and, essentially, without substance.”

• “It’s amusing to me that many of the slogans I coined . . . in those years are still being used by NARAL . . . as arguments. They were never meant to be arguments. They were only . . . slogans . . .and many other things, but never the truth.”

For more information, Nathanson’s autobiography, The Hand of God, is available at (888) 219-4747 or online at http://bit.ly/1p5SWgV.Dr. Nathanson passed away on February 21, 2011. He converted to the pro-life movement several years earlier and later to the Catholic Church. He was Baptized and received Confirmation and First Holy Communion from Cardinal O'Connor in New York’s St. Patrick’s Cathedral in December 1996.

𝐍𝐎𝐑𝐌𝐀 𝐌𝐂𝐂𝐎𝐑𝐕𝐄𝐘

Norma McCorvey was the “Roe” of Roe v. Wade, the Supreme Court case that legalized abortion on demand. Ironically, she never had an abortion. In 1969, when she found herself pregnant, she sought an abortion but could not get one because of strong pro-life laws in her home state of Texas. To garner sympathy for her case, McCorvey told people she had been raped. Still, she was not granted an abortion. She eventually placed the child she was carrying for adoption. In 1972 her case, Roe v. Wade, was heard by the United States Supreme Court. When the Supreme Court ruled on Roe v. Wade in January 1973, they reversed the laws banning abortion in every one of America’s 50 states. Before becoming pro-life, McCorvey worked in an abortion clinic.

𝐐𝐮𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐬 𝐛𝐲 𝐍𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐚 𝐌𝐜𝐂𝐨𝐫𝐯𝐞𝐲

• “The public had certain misgivings about abortion in the early seventies, but there was much greater acceptance of abortion in cases of rape, so even though I wasn’t really raped, I thought saying so would garner greater public support.”

• “This means that the abortion case that destroyed every state law protecting the unborn was based on a lie.”

• “I’ve never had an abortion, so I really wouldn’t know how it felt to have one, but I do know the faces that I’ve seen, the women I’ve talked to in the pro-life movement.”

• “A lot of the women that used to come into the abortion clinic used to tell me, . . . ‘You know why I’m doing this, don’t you?’ And I’m like, ‘No, and you don’t have to tell me, either’. . . . They said, ‘I’m just afraid I don’t know how to be a mom.’ And I thought, ‘That’s sad.’”

• “I really hadn’t been happy with anything I saw in the pro-abortion movement. . . . They don’t really care about women. All they care about is your money. If you can give them $295 plus $100 for a sonogram, then they like you, but once you’re gone, they don’t know you.”

Norma, like Dr. Nathanson, also converted to the Catholic Church. On August 17, 1998, she was received into the Catholic Church by Father Frank Pavone, the International Director of Priests for Lifeand Father Edward Robinson in Dallas. Read her conversion story by clicking on this link, http://www.priestsforlife.org/columns/conversionofnorma.html

𝐒𝐀𝐍𝐃𝐑𝐀 𝐂𝐀𝐍𝐎

Sandra Cano is the woman whose name was used against her will to legalize late-term, including partial birth, abortions in Doe v. Bolton, handed down by the United States Supreme Court in 1973. When Cano was pregnant with her fourth child, her children were put in foster care because her husband routinely abandoned the family. She sought legal help and, according to court documents, she sought an abortion but was turned down. Cano denies this. She tried to obtain this supposed request for an abortion from the abortion clinic, but the clinic claimed those records had disappeared. Even so, Cano’s alleged application for an abortion was used to legalize late-term abortions, and her name was the only one listed as a plaintiff in the class action suit that became known as Doe v. Bolton.

𝐐𝐮𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐬 𝐛𝐲 𝐒𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐫𝐚 𝐂𝐚𝐧𝐨

• “I don’t think that was my signature, but I can’t be sure, because I signed a lot of papers with [my lawyer]. She did not tell me what they were, and I trusted her. Every one of those statements was false.”

• “I do not believe in abortion. I have never believed in abortion. I have always been pro-life.”

• “I’ve never believed in abortion. I’ve never had an abortion. Never would have an abortion, yet my name was used on a Supreme Court case that legalized late term abortions.”
